Terms of Service
Service operator: spinevfxbuddy
Purchase and refund policy updated: September 22, 2026
These Terms form the agreement between Users and the Operator for the SpineVFXBuddy website, account center, online effects editor and cloud services. Users must read and confirm the applicable terms before registration and purchase. Software use, commercial exports and official assets are governed by the Software and Asset License, whose specific provisions control those license scopes. Each transaction’s product, price and payment conditions are set out in its product description and Creem checkout confirmation.
1. Service scope and eligibility
The Operator provides browser-based effects editing, project storage, assets and workspace collaboration. Features, capacity and seats depend on available plans and account entitlements. Users must have the capacity to enter and perform this agreement and the necessary authority to act for a team, company or other entity. Registration and use are unavailable to anyone under 14. Users aged 14–17 require guardian consent and supervision and separate authorization for paid purchases. Users aged 18 or over must have the capacity required by applicable law.
2. Account management and security obligations
Users must provide accurate email addresses and protect passwords, authenticators and backup codes. Personal login credentials must not be shared. Users may manage sessions and enable two-factor authentication; unauthorized access or account anomalies should be addressed promptly by changing credentials and notifying the Operator. The Operator does not request passwords or full payment credentials by email.
3. User content, intellectual property and prohibited conduct
Users retain rights in original or lawfully obtained content and grant the Operator only the permissions necessary to store, process and display it to authorized members while providing the service. Users must have a lawful basis for their content and use. Unlawful content, malware, infringement, bypassing access or payment controls, API abuse and interference with systems or other Users are prohibited. Official and third-party assets follow their stated licenses; plan access does not grant independent trademark, likeness or other third-party rights.
4. Plan licenses and usage restrictions
Free permits personal learning, experimentation, noncommercial personal work and job portfolios, with an exception for purely internal company evaluation and compatibility testing. Commercial projects require paid licensing from production onward. Pro licenses one actual User, including freelance and employer work, regardless of revenue or entity status; account sharing is prohibited. Team seats correspond to actual Users. Team purchases are not yet available, and collaboration arrangements depend on the products offered after launch. Clients who only receive works require no editor seat; actual editor Users require the appropriate license. Export, expiry, refund and asset rights are governed by the Software and Asset License.
5. Subscriptions, renewal and one-time purchases
Pro offers monthly and yearly subscriptions and a 30-day one-time purchase; Team is coming soon. Price, currency, period, seat pricing and applicable taxes follow the product page and Creem checkout confirmation. Only available products can be purchased. Recurring subscriptions renew at the selected interval, and cancellation generally preserves paid-period access while stopping subsequent renewals. The one-time purchase grants 30 days of access after payment confirmation, does not renew automatically and may be purchased again after expiry. Access depends on server-verified payment; visiting a success page is not proof of payment or licensing.
6. Team administration and ownership transfer
Owners manage team seats, invitations and member permissions. Seat changes follow the billing quote and effective time. Transfer requires confirmed cancellation of the original Team subscription’s renewal and no unresolved billing change preventing transfer. Shared projects, members and paid-period access remain with the team; payment credentials and the original payer’s customer-portal access do not transfer. The new owner may purchase an available product after expiry. Users aged 14–17 cannot use the payment-provider portal or directly change subscription seats. Available new purchases require guardian approval of the exact product, period, seats, amount and currency; cancellation remains available. Team functions and transactions depend on actual availability.
7. Cancellation, refunds and payment disputes
Pro monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions and 30-day one-time purchases are non-refundable under the voluntary refund policy. Users must review the product and confirm acceptance of these terms before paying. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund paid amounts. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded and applicable payment-provider rules remain unaffected. Duplicate charges, unauthorized payments or missing paid access require the account email and order reference for review. Refunds required by law or payment-provider rules are handled separately; submitting a request does not establish approval or receipt. A confirmed full refund revokes that purchase’s paid access and commercial rights in works and official assets obtained solely through it; licenses from other unrefunded purchases remain unaffected. Ownership of original content remains with the User, with noncommercial use allowed after revocation. Appropriate relicensing and export under the applicable rules can restore commercial use. Refunding only the excess duplicate charge does not revoke rights from the valid payment.
8. Expiry, downgrade and cloud retention
Personal projects within the Free storage allowance remain available under Free rules after expiry or downgrade. For the first 30 days of excess personal storage, viewing, downloading and deletion remain available; new uploads and saves that increase usage pause. For the first 30 days after a Team plan expires, existing members can view and download according to their roles; cloud editing, uploading and invitations pause. Renewing or resolving excess usage during this period restores the corresponding functions when plan conditions are met. Unresolved projects freeze after 30 days and are retained until day 90 from expiry or downgrade, not 90 additional days after the first 30. After day 90, unresolved projects may enter cleanup, with email and an account notice identifying the scope at least 7 days before intended cleanup. Downloading an existing file does not grant a new commercial license; file retention and commercial licensing are separate.
9. Account deletion and resource handling
Users must transfer owned teams before deletion. Personal subscribers may expressly forfeit remaining access to request immediate deletion. Deletion does not automatically initiate a refund or restrict a lawful refund request. Renewal cancellation must first be confirmed; failure or uncertainty preserves the account for retry. Successful deletion invalidates sessions and queues personal resource cleanup while transferred teams remain intact. Users should export personal projects needed after deletion.
10. Availability, maintenance and service changes
Maintenance, connectivity and third-party failures may interrupt service. Except as expressly agreed or required by applicable law, the Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or a particular response time. The Operator makes reasonable efforts to resolve issues and, where feasible, gives advance notice of material changes affecting paid access. Users should keep independent copies of important projects. Failure to supply paid service as agreed is addressed according to the circumstances and applicable law; service changes do not arbitrarily remove paid rights.
11. Enforcement and responsibility
Unlawful activity, infringement, fraud or threats to system security may result in necessary and proportionate access, content or service restrictions, with reasons and a contact channel where legally and safely possible. Users are responsible for their content, account use and compliance with licensing obligations. Each party’s responsibility depends on actual conduct, loss, causation and applicable law. These Terms do not exclude or limit liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Revisions, applicable law and disputes
Material changes are communicated through the website or an appropriate channel with their effective arrangements. User confirmation is obtained where legally required. Disputes may first be submitted through the contact channel for review of orders and activity records. Unresolved disputes follow applicable law and competent authorities. An unenforceable provision does not affect the remaining provisions to the extent allowed by law. These Terms do not restrict lawful remedies before regulators or competent courts.
